IF you want to race your car, you need to comply with the rules below.
Entries are for youth and leaders
Family members are welcome to come watch!
Max weight is 6oz (170g)
Max length is 7in (178mm)
Max width is 2.75in (70mm)
Max height is 4.75” (121mm)
Clearance under the body is 3/8” (9.5mm)
Do not alter the wheels in any way
You must use the provided axle bracket, no bearings allowed.
Only dry lubricants are allowed (for the axle in the axle bracket)
You can add almost any materials to your car but they can’t be toxic, flammable, offensive or dangerous.

Below is how the wheels and axle should be put together.

Be creative. Your car could look like a tube of toothpaste, a food item, a Pokemon character, an insect, whatever you can think up.

Start now - these cars take quite a bit of work
About the last thing to go on your car should be the axle bracket & wheels.
Use a bandsaw to cut out the general shape of your car. Then use belt sander, scroll saw, file, Dremel tool, and sandpaper. BE SAFE.
Use glue on the axle bracket in addition to the thumb tacks
Add metal, like fishing weights, to get the weight up to maximum. Check your weight as you build using a good kitchen scale.
Clean up the axle holders and you may need to drill out the holes for the axle.
